Thanks for tagging me, May Amelia! Here are my answers! =)

Last night I posted about the characters in my book, With a War Between Them. Check it out here!

Day 29 {hopes dreams and plans for the next 365 days}

I want to learn to be content in the Lord regardless of my situation or trials, graduate from high school in a few months (YEAH!!!!), work more on my photography, get a job at Hancock Fabrics, and save up for my Canon EOS 60D...and, oh yeah, save up for a Ford truck. ;)

But more than all of those (except the first one) I want to go up to MN for, say, six months, to see my wonderful, amazing friends. <3

Day 28 {a scar i have and its story}

I have a scar on my left cheek - just below my eye. When I was six years old I was with a bunch of kids from church, at church - our moms were having a bible study. Actually, I was supposed to be doing school while the other kids played (unfair, right?) but I put it off for as long as I could. Well, I finally decided to get my school books (so as not to be in trouble). I ran out of the classroom we were in and across the enormous room. (Who can resist running around a big, empty room?)

Well, that was just the problem. I tripped and hit my head on one of the sharp corners of an old wooden coat racks we had (which is where my book bag was) and...blood, instantly, was everywhere. I don't remember if I screamed or what, but I do remember yelling at one of my friends to get our teacher! She actually just stood there, staring at me. =D Helpful, right? Mom heard me and came running downstairs, and then practically dragged me to the church kitchen. (I was not in the frame of mind to be able to walk. =D  )

Mom called Dad (he was at the church office - he was the pastor) and they ended up taking me to the hospital and I got, like 5-6 stitches. Moral of the story? Avoid old, sharp, wooden coat hanger/rack things. At all cost. =D

Day 27 {a physical feature you love}

I love people's eyes. So much expression is conveyed by them - and you know how you always read about people smiling, but not with their eyes? Or how the phrase "sparkling eyes" adds so much to a description? Yeah - I love eyes. =D

Day 26 {a childhood memory}

I remember my two-year-old birthday party in Redlands, California. =D Seriously - I do. Not every detail, but it is one memory that has stood out in my mind. Our favorite restaurant was called Brisket's, and one of sweet ladies there threw a birthday party for me at the store. (It was also right before we moved up to MN - so it was kinda a going-away party too)

I don't remember the details, but I do remember that I had a fun time. ;)

Day 25 {a recipe}

I'm a bit behind...but here's one of my favorite recipes! (Not that healthy, I know - but it's the most amazing cake ever!! =D  )

Wacky Chocolate Cake

Measure into sifter -
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons soda
6 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon salt

Add liquids -
2 cups cold water
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons vinegar
2/3 cup oil

Sift dry ingredients into an ungreased 9X13 baking dish, add the liquids and mix with wire whisk until smooth. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

Day 24 {movie no one would expect me to love}

How to Train Your Dragon. =D I'm a Jane Austen/Tolkien/Bronte girl (and I hate animated movies) so I surprised myself when I found that I actually liked How to Train Your Dragon. It really is a cute movie. ;)

Day 23 {way in which i want to be remembered}

I want to be remembered as someone who loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind and strength; someone who enjoyed life, was an amazing photographer, and had the most wonderful and precious husband and children.

Day 22 {a website}

Well, I could do some self-promotion - I kinda like my own website. ;) (It's undergoing reconstruction right now, though) My favorite website would probably be My Designer Girl. Ara (she used to go by the name of Awel, but has recently changed that) is a sweet girl, amazing designer, and great author - I've really enjoyed her blogs. =) I've also learned so much from her website.

Day 21 {something i do differently from others}

I wear flipflops in winter. =D Yep, flipflops are something I just can't live without...no matter what season either, it seems! I'm the kind of person that would willing toss out all my shoes and go barefoot for the rest of my life...but as that doesn't seem like it would be acceptable to the general public, I end up wearing the most freeing shoes I can - Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. ;)

Day 20 {a hobby of mine}

I have a bunch of hobbies, but my biggest ones are photography, blog design, and sewing. Most of you probably know that I've started my own blog design business, Beauty {free blog designs}, and if you read my last post then you know how much I love sewing! ;)

I started designing in October of 2010 and have experimented a ton with design.
One of my first designs -

My most recent design for my own design blog -

Yep, big difference in my opinion. I've had a blast working with other girls and learning more about design. ;)

Day 19 {a talent of mine}

Well, I guess you could say that I'm talented at sewing. It's something I love to do and that I've worked on for about nine years. I've had so much fun experimenting with designing recently, and have also made my first wedding dresses and prom dress - a lot of fun and work! ;)

Day 18 {a time when i felt passionate and alive}

I've had a hard time coming up with something for this. (that's obvious, I guess, considering that I'm three days late!! ;)  ) This is gonna sound silly, but I definitely felt alive when my siblings and I went sledding last week! =D I know, I know - not very profound...but still. ;) (love sledding. When we have snow.)

Day 17 {an art piece}

Well, to tell the truth, I don't really have a favorite art piece. (Drawing, painting, etc.) So I was browsing Google for "famous drawings" and came up with this.

Aaaaabsolutely amaaaaazing. Like, it looks exactly like a photo!!!!!! Here's the article about the artist with more of his work. Truly unbelievable. I draw a little bit, so I know how hard it is to get a good drawing...and I can't even imagine completing this masterpiece! Oh, and get this. HE NEVER ERASES. So cool. =)

UPDATE: Due to complications with restrictions on the rose graphic I've used in my logo, I will be COMPLETELY CHANGING my logo, website, and blog. Eek. I'm a bit frightened about it - 'twill be a major change. (Ssshh...the logo is done and I'm working on the website and blog! Wanna see a tiny sneak peek of the new logo?! Oh, alright. Try and guess what it is. ;)  )

Hmmm. It almost looks Chinese - but I will tell you that it isn't! =D

Day 16 {a song that makes me cry}

Well, I think I have to make that two. ;)

"There Will be a Day" - Jeremy Camp

(the audio isn't the best...but this was an Eden Prairie, MN concert...very close to our old house. ;) Had to post it )

"Call my Name" - Third Day

I love these songs. The last few years, 2010 in particular, have been very hard. To tell the truth, I don't have any friends anywhere around my age here - they're all out-of-state (haven't seen them in six years) so listening to songs like these has been a comfort. I mean, come one - this is my senior year of high school and my first year of college - yet I haven't been able to have that "golden time" with my friends. My high school years have been the hardest years of my life. It's been a great lesson of trusting in the Lord, but wow is it hard. Music is always a comfort to me, so listening to solid songs like these is such a blessing.

All my Blogger friends have been a great encouragement, too (whether they know it or not! ;)  ) - May Amelia, Caroline, Lauren, Emily Grace, and so many others have been a blast to email and follow. (So thank you guys for being awesome! ;)  )

Anyway, those are the songs that make me cry.

Day 15 {a person i admire}

Well, one of the people I admire is Jasmine Star. She's ranked one of the top ten photographers in the world and seems to be a very fun person as well as an amazing photographer. I've loved to spend hours looking at her work and reading her blog - trying to pick up tips and ideas for my own photography. ;) Her husband is her second-shooter which I think is very cute. How fun would it be to photography weddings with your husband?! Very cool. ;)

Day 14 {vacation i want to take}

I'd love to visit Rome. I'm one of the people who loves to see ancient artifacts and buildings that haven't been restored - I love to see ancient things as they were. And wow, would Rome ever be a place for photos! History + photography = you gotta love it. ;)

The history would be horrific to hear again, mostly in terms of the Coliseum. So many faithful believers lost their lives to the applause of the mobs - dying terribly cruel deaths because of their faith. But how amazing it would be to see where these men and women had stood fast, even knowing that they would be killed by some wild beast, a gladiator, or someone else - standing for Christ.

Note: You have until midnight tomorrow (Saturday) to enter my giveaway! ;) I will be announcing the winners on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning - so stay tuned! ;)

Day 13 {a guilty pleasure}

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm completely addicted to Cityville. Of all the games on Facebook Cityville is the best - it allows you to build and maintain your own city...you can add highschools, museums, hotels, mansions, tons of shops, crops, barns...

That's my guilty pleasure. ;)

Day 12 {song i want played at my wedding}

Well, I have two that I want. ;)

"I Will Be Here" - Steven Curtis Chapman

"Cinderella" - Steven Curtis Chapman

Day 10 {photo of you taken over ten years ago}

Well - that's hard. This one, though, is one of my favorite photos and is almost ten years old. ;) These girls are all so very sweet and I miss them all very much. (I haven't seen them in 6-8 years)
I'm the one second from the right. <3 This was at my sister's and my birthday party - I was turning eight and she was turning six. This was also right before we moved from MN down to NC - so it was a very special time. It was a themed birthday party - everyone dressed up as their favorite book character. ;)

Day 9 {photo you took}

This photo I took just today. (Unfortunately, we just barely have a dusting of snow - OH how I miss Minnesota snows...)

I'm linking up to Happy Monday!
